Our History
Louie Ortiz didn’t set out to create just another business—he set out to change lives.
A Vision Born from Experience
Louie Ortiz has always been an entrepreneur—starting small businesses as early as junior high.
In 1990 in San Diego, California, he built a thriving company manufacturing high-end custom
acrylic aquariums for clients worldwide, growing it to over 30 employees before selling it in
2006.
But his journey wasn’t without challenges. He constantly searched for better marketing
strategies, leadership techniques, and ways to scale—only to find that resources for business
owners were scarce.
After years of working in his company and mentoring other entrepreneurs, he saw a pattern
that was both frustrating and heartbreaking: countless brilliant, hardworking people with
incredible ideas were failing, not because their ideas weren’t great, but because they lacked
access to the right support, funding, and opportunities.
Then, one night, Louie watched ABC’s "Shark Tank" and had a powerful realization: What if
there was a place where dreamers, builders, and innovators could come together—a place that
didn’t just provide resources, but actually empowered people to succeed?
That was the moment Monbi.com was born.
Louie created Monbi.com to help business owners find funding, strategic partners, and a
supportive community—so that no entrepreneur would have to struggle alone. Because when
